South Surrey’s Lauren Kim headed to play iconic golf course this April

South Surrey’s Lauren Kim is headed to an iconic course.

As the reigning Canadian Women’s Amateur Champion, the University of Texas student will be the country’s representative at the Augusta National Women’s Amateur this spring.

Scheduled to be played in three tournament rounds April 3-6, the invitational takes place at both the Champions Retreat Golf Club (Wednesday, April 3 and Thursday, April 4), with the final round set for Augusta National Golf Course (Saturday, April 6).

Featuring an international field of dozens of female amateur golfers, a cut will take place after 36 holes, advancing the leading 30 players and ties to the famed Georgia golf club.
