Two people are in custody after shots were fired in Guildford Friday (Dec. 29).

Police say officers responded to reports of shots fired in the area of 101 Avenue and 156 Street at 2:15 p.m.

Two men took off in a blue Range Rover, say the Surrey RCMP, but were tracked down and arrested in the area of 198 Street and 57 Avenue in Langley, with the help of Surrey Traffic Services, Lower Mainland Integrated Police Dog Services, Air 1 and The Langley RCMP.

Police say nobody was hurt and investigators are trying to determine a possible motive.

This is the second time shots were fired in Surrey this week. The Surrey RCMP are looking for witnesses and camera footage after a report of shots fired at a home in the 14900-block of 80 Avenue just after 8 a.m. Wednesday morning (Dec. 27).

No one was injured but the residence involved sustained damage consistent with bullet holes.

Anyone with more information about either shooting, including dash-cam footage of the incident, is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
