A new year means a clean slate for many.

In Surrey, the city is taking that thought literally, and is tackling unwanted garbage over the next two weeks in a “Litter Blitz,” with Crescent Beach being a neighbourhood included in the initiative.

“Surrey crews will be out in full force over the next two weeks for a Litter Blitz, picking up garbage from all over the City to keep Surrey clean and beautiful,” Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke’s account tweeted on X.

“Our dedicated team will be working their way through Surrey’s town centres, starting with Newton, Crescent Beach and City Centre.”
