North Surrey is home to a new branch of Wolseley Canada, which sells plumbing and HVAC products.
A grand-opening of the company’s 20,000-square-foot facility was held April 24 at #102-104, 13070 115 Ave., in the Bridgeview area. The space includes a “studio” showroom featuring the latest in kitchen and bath trends and lighting fixtures.
A ceremonial “pipe cutting” involved Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke.
Headquartered in Burlington, Ont., Wolseley Canada is advertised as “a market leader in the wholesale distribution of plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, waterworks, fire protection, pipes, valves and fittings and industrial products.” Close to 2,500 employees work at more than 220 locations across Canada.
“I’m excited to welcome the North Surrey community to our new facility,” branch manager John Evans said. “Wolseley is expanding to meet the growing needs of our plumbing and HVAC customers in this area. You can count on us to bring the outstanding customer service, products and expertise that our customers rely on.”
The launch event April 24 heard details about a Wolseley Canada Skilled Trades Bursary, in partnership with Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU).
The North Surrey branch will be open Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the showroom open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m..
