Dr. Aly Kanani’s passion for holistic wellness started as a teen in his orthodontist’s chair.
“The person who inspired me to do what I do is Dr. Robin Jackson from Richmond, my former orthodontist,” Dr. Kanani reflects. “He’s just a great guy: funny, patient and always motivating me. Most orthodontists have had orthodontic work themselves and were inspired from that original relationship.”
As an orthodontist serving Surrey at Guildford Orthodontic Centre and Langley at Langley Orthodontics, that early experience inspired Dr. Kanani in his journey to help others.
“In more ways than one, this is a journey. Orthodontics is a life-changing profession, but for patients, it’s life changing too. For me, I get to see the patient’s journey along the way and watch how they grow and change. The orthodontic journey is about how they feel in the end.”
Coming home to Surrey and Langley
After a brief departure in 2021, time away from the practice helped Dr. Kanani realize how much he missed his patients.
“At this phase in my career, I missed the interactions with my patients, and missed having the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives,” he says.
